eLadder describes itself as a place to study while you explore the world. Here is what that means in practice.
What it does mean
Your studies do not hold you in one place.
- You can study from anywhere with a workable internet connection, and you can move country during a programme without interrupting it.
- Teaching is asynchronous by default, so travel, shift work and time zones do not cost you attendance.
- Your qualification is not tied to residence in any particular country, and neither is your enrolment.
Organised travel
The part we are still building.
eLadder's stated model includes travel-based learning and real-time work exposure. Where a university organises travel, a student needs to know three things before they can take it seriously: where it goes, how often, and what it costs on top of tuition.
None of those are settled yet, so none of them are on this page. A travel programme described in general terms is something a student will plan a year around, and the specifics are exactly where it would fail them.
