This page sets out what you need in order to study with eLadder, so that you can check before you enrol rather than after.

Why we publish this
Our students study from many countries, on connections and devices that vary widely. Nobody should discover after paying that their equipment cannot run the course.
What you need
- A computer capable of running a current web browser. A phone or tablet is enough to read and to watch, but written assessments and most software work need a laptop or desktop.
- A current version of a mainstream browser, kept updated.
- An internet connection stable enough for video. Live sessions need more than recorded material does.
- A working microphone, and a camera where a course requires live participation or identity verification.
- A reliable email address that you check, since it is how the university contacts you formally.

- The minimum connection speed we support
- Any software specific to computing programmes, and whether the university licenses it
- The learning platform's name and its own supported-browser list
If your connection is limited
Tell us before you enrol. Where a course depends on live attendance we will say so plainly, and where recorded material is sufficient we will say that too. It is a better conversation to have before you pay.
Accessibility
If you use assistive technology, or need material in an alternative format, contact us. Accommodation is arranged through the disability and accommodations policy, and doing it before your first term is easier than during it.
